Website design for trades that wins the work.

Your next customer is searching for the job you do, in the place you do it. We build trade business websites that show up for those searches, prove the standard of your work and make asking for a quote easy. London based, working UK wide.

Why it matters

People check you out before they ring.

Even when a job comes from a recommendation, the customer looks you up first. If they find one thin page, an old social post or nothing at all, they ring the next name on the list.

Where trade websites fall short

  • One page that says you do everything, so it ranks for nothing
  • No mention of the towns and counties you actually cover
  • Stock photos instead of your own jobs
  • A contact page that is fiddly on a phone
  • A monthly website builder fee for a site that brings in little

What we build instead

  • A page for each service, written in plain English
  • Pages for the areas and sectors you want more work from
  • Real projects with your own photos
  • A quote form and tap to call on every page
  • A site you own, and for most builds no monthly platform fee

What a trade website needs

Six things that bring in enquiries.

A page for every service

Someone searching for a pump repair or a loft conversion should land on a page about exactly that. One page per service, each written around the questions buyers ask.

Area pages worth reading

A page for each county or town you want work from, saying what you do there and the jobs you have done nearby. Not the same words with the place name swapped.

Sector pages for bigger clients

If you work for councils, utilities, factories or landlords, a page for each shows you understand how they buy and the paperwork they expect.

Projects with real photos

Jobs written up with your own photos: the problem, what you did and the finish. Buyers want to see the standard before they ask for a price.

A quote form that does the sorting

It asks for the job, the location, the timescale and photos, so you can tell a good lead from a time waster before you call back. Tap to call on every page too.

Trust, up front

Accreditations, insurance, years trading and reviews near the top of the page, where a careful customer looks first.

Case study · Elite Southwest

A specialist trade, sold UK wide.

Elite Southwest are electro mechanical engineers for the water and food industries, based in Devon. Their old Wix site did not show the range of what they do, and they wanted work from across the UK. We rebuilt it from the ground up.

  • Nine service pages, from confined space entry to hot tapping
  • Sector pages for the water and food industries
  • Area pages for Devon, Cornwall and Somerset
  • Real projects written up with their own photos
  • A quote form and tap to call on every page
  • Moved off Wix with no downtime and no change to their email

In their words

“Steven has been very efficient and his commitment and dedication towards researching my business for the new website build have been excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services.”

How we work

Plan first. Then we build.

Every project starts with a consultation. You get a written plan and a fixed quote before any work begins.

01

A consultation

A call about the jobs you want more of, the areas you cover and how customers find you today.

02

A plan and a fixed quote

A written plan listing every page, what we need from you and when it goes live. The quote is fixed before we start.

03

Words, design and build

We write the pages, design around your own photos and build it. You see it early and ask for changes before anything is final.

04

Launch and handover

We connect your domain, test every form and call button, submit the site to Google and show you how it all works.

Common questions

Before you ask.

Can you move my site off Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?

Yes. You keep your domain and your email. We build the new site, point the domain at it, and then you can cancel the old plan. Elite Southwest moved off Wix this way, with no downtime.

Do I need to write the words myself?

No. We ask about the jobs you do, the areas you cover and the customers you want, then write every page. You check it before it goes live. Photos of your own work are the one thing only you can supply.

How many area pages do I need?

One for each area where you genuinely work and want more jobs. A handful of useful pages beats fifty copies with the town name swapped, which helps nobody.

Will a new website get me to the top of Google?

Nobody can honestly promise that. We build every site so Google can understand it, with a page for each service and area, quick pages and the sitemap submitted at launch. Reviews and a Google Business Profile help too, and we can advise on both.

Can I add new projects myself?

If you want to, yes. We can build in a simple login for adding projects and editing pages. If you would rather not, small changes are quick for us to make.

Do you only work with trades in London?

No. We are based in London and work with trade businesses across the UK. Elite Southwest are in Devon. Everything works by call, email and messages. See our website design service for the other kinds of site we build.
